Update: Save the Date – Berlin Marathon starts on September, 25th
pdate: Pure excitement: The winner of this year's 48th Berlin Marathon has been determined: Eliud Kipchoge wrote a new world record with the incredible time of 2:01:09 hours and improved his own best time by half a minute! Another surprise was the sensational course record of the Ethiopian outsider Tigist Assefa. She started with a personal best time of 2:34:01 before and ran the "race of her life". At the end she won the race in 2:15:37 hours. Congratulations! The next Berlin Marathon will definitely come next year - for those who want to start "small" first, the Berlin Half Marathon is recommended...it starts on 02.04.2023.
Berlin Marathon will start again on September 25th with more than 45,000 participants…and thousands of spectators eager to see who will win the run this year.
Already in 2017 there was a neck-and-neck race between the two top athletes Eliud Kipchoge and Guye Adola, so the tension is great this year, which of the two favorites will win! Both are expected to run the marathon and surely they will deliver another exciting duel. In the women’s race Keira D’Amato from the USA will start. The US marathon record holder has a best time of 2:19:12.

- BMW BERLIN MARATHON 2018: Eliud Kipchoge (2:01:39)
- Chicago Marathon (mixed race, 2019): Brigid Kosgei (2:14:04)
- London Marathon (women’s race, 2017) Mary Keitany (2:17:01)
Berlin Marathon has been taking place since 1974 and the running course is right through the city. Due to our central location, hotel guests who want to experience the spectacle live can be right in the middle of the spectacle, as it is only a few steps to Potsdamer Straße, where you can cheer on the runners!
For those who need extra power: from Friday to Sunday we have our Pasta Marathon Special for an extra portion of carbohydrates. Try on Saturday our dishes “all-you-can-eat” at the pasta buffet – to which non-hotel guests are cordially invited, too!

When? Sept. 25, 2022, start time 9:15 a.m., wheelchair racers (start: 8:45 a.m.) and hand cyclists (start: 8:58 a.m.)
Skaters will run already on Saturday (start: 15:30), Mini Marathon (start: 15:10) and Bambini Run (start: 11:00) will take place on Saturday, too.
